We are looking for an experienced System Specialist to support small to large customer IT infrastructures.

Scope of work

  • Support IT infrastructure, primarily operating systems and networking
  • Liaison with international Service Desk teams
  • Liaison with customer IT support teams
  • Troubleshoot issues with customers
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving issues in the daily operation of the IT landscape
  • Monitor and maintain operating system log files
  • Recommend operating system updates and configuration modification
  • Apply operating system patches as required
  • Supporting VoIP telephony and teleconferencing
  • Manage site to site as well as remote access VPN connections (setup, troubleshooting, monitoring, support)
  • Inventory, documentation update and housekeeping
  • Hardware problem diagnostics and troubleshooting

Expectations

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related degree, or a combination of education, training and work experience
  • At least 3 years experience in IT Systems Administration role
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and tasks simultaneously
  • Good skills and experience in problem determination, analysis and resolution
  • Experience in VOIP/Network Administration and UNIX/Linux or MS Windows operating systems Administration
  • Experience in Network services maintenance
  • Hands on experience with Cisco technologies (CUCM, routers, switches, firewalls) or Checkpoint an advantage
  • CCNP certification an advantage
  • Experience with working in ITIL oriented environment
  • Experience from multinational environment an advantage
  • Wireless technologies experience (Mikrotik, Cisco Meraki, other)
  • Ability to learn new technologies and apply these effectively within a variety of business and technical contexts

Highly desired technical experience

  • Virtualisation (VMware)
  • Scripting
  • Designing and implementing of backup solutions and security strategie
  • Hardware experience (servers, routers, switches)

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing business relations with clients and customers to promote and sell VoliTEC services, products and solutions.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and market trends
  • Identification of potential business partners and establishing business relations
  • Work closely with potential clients and customer to understand their needs and help them to achieve the expected goals
  • Presentation of services, handling prospect objections and drafting contracts
  • Independent management of business cases
  • Preparation and realisation of business strategies
  • Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services
